Hi there!

First off- let me congratulate you on the birth of your adorable little boy! :) I'm not sure if you remember me, but I was very interested in your canvas idea from the HGTV site and had like a zillion questions about starting. I'm proud to say that I am now 4 shy from being done. (just have p,q,w and z left) Anyway, I'm at the attach the letter stage and was curious how you did this. Did you put the letters on using crazy glue or something else? I didn't want to experiment too much without asking you first. I hate that the project is almost over. I really loved doing it. I lost my Mom last year and painting these canvases for my little ones has been the first time that I now only have felt some comfort, but oddly feel connected to her. i didn't intend on getting all mushy here, but I just wanted to thank you for the inspiration and for your permission to run with your wonderful idea. I really appreciate it more than you know. Congratulations again to you and your beautiful family.

Regards,

Sarah

Sarah,

Of course I remember you! I was so thrilled that someone took my idea and ran like you did... I loved painting mine too and I am really glad to hear that you were able to feel some comfort and connection while you worked on the paintings. I think art is so important in a well rounded life.

So about attaching the letters...all I used was wood glue - I used wooden letters and just put a few drops on the back of the letter, smeared it around with my fingertip and placed it right on the canvas.

I really am glad you had so much fun with your paintings. I would LOVE to see your work! e-mail me at pinfuzz2@gmail.com if you are willing to share some pictures.

Take care,
Jen
